Snail of Approval (SoA) is our way of helping consumers decide where to eat! SoA is an award given to restaurants, bars, food and beverage artisans/markets that provide clean, quality food, which is mostly local and sustainably grown/raised. SoA is a designation for us all to define the notion of Good, Clean and Fair food.

I am the chairman of the Snail of Approval for the East End. Recently we gave a SOA to Peconic Bay Medical Center food services in Riverhead for their exemplary food and practices. Yes a hospital. The vice president of Food Services unit of Northwell expressed an interest in being evaluated at other Northwell facilities.
